Where is the Patriotism in my Fireworks?
I was researching the Chicago fireworks that will take place downtown tommorrow and found the songs that they will be using. Not one of them is what I would call patriotic, instead it is composed of the garbage you hear on FM radio. This is just sad! Here is the list of songs that will compose the musical portion of the fireworks display:

Ok so there are some local artists there and the is ok. But these songs do not even mention the very reason why we celebrate the 4th of July. For those who forget here is why this day is special
In the United States, Independence Day (commonly known as the Fourth of July) is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

We’re dealing with Modern Liberals. Deep down Modern Liberals don’t like patriotism and they really don’t like the US. They don’t like anything that they perceive to move away from everything being “equal.” So we shouldn’t be proud of the US because the US is stronger than most countries.
Whatever the subject, Modern Liberals tear down everything that is good, right and successful while elevating everything that is evil, failed and wrong so we come to a middle place where we don’t argue or fight any more. When the “peace” activists talk about peace, this is what they mean. It’s more than “end the war”, it’s really “lose the war.”
Modern Liberals strive for a Utopia where there is no arguing, fighting, war, poverty or injustice. It sounds great until you realize that the only way to get there is to push aside all of the tools developed over the centuries that we use to get better - like morals, ethics and reason. If we “think” or “judge” using morals, then we have already pushed ourselves away from the Utopia. This is why Modern Liberals dislike churches - because they teach about judging sins. This is a big no-no for Modern Liberals.

BTW, there were a number of gang shootings that night and it’s clear that this Modern Liberalism is affecting the ability of police to prevent crime. Since preventing crime requires that the police judge bad behaviors, Modern Liberals make sure that the gang members are treated as victims. (The ACLU is always ready to talk about “profiling”, etc.) In this case, the media just minimized the incidents. In a comments section in the Chicago tribune, a cop wrote “I am a police officer and have already given up ‘active’ policing. I handle calls for service but do not conduct traffic stops anymore. The liberals will get what they have been asking for: higher crime rates. ”
As we all have been repeatedly taught to “tolerate” bad behavior, it is spreading everywhere. Anyways, watch that video.
